Why Study Centre?

We realise that finding quality tuition for your child can be an incredibly difficult task.  To do this we've drawn up a list of reasons why Study Centre would benefit your child and of course we are always on the end of the phone if you need to talk it through.

  • Small group sizes ensure a friendly, attentive and effective experience for your child.

  • Small groups means we can keep our prices very competetive.  If individual tuition is important to you, we can arrange this on a case-by-case basis.

  • We are not an agency.  Study Centre is founded by Victoria Baird, a passionate teaching professional with an exemplary reputation - she would like it to remain that way!

  • We want to build a relationship with you and your child.  We strive to make your child's experience as positive as possible.

  • We individually tailor our tuition to your child's needs.

  • We value honesty and will give you an honest assessment of your child's current ability and their likely future achievement.  We set high expectations from your child to achieve these goals.

  • Our teaching methods are progressive and remain 100% compatible with your child's existing education.

  • We often meet with local schools.  They willingly distribute/display our leaflets.

  • All our staff are current practitioners and therefore are fully Criminal Record Bureau checked.

  • Our staff have regular professional development updates - we ensure they regularly undergo "OFSTED like" assessments.  We will only employ the finest teaching professionals.

  • Children and parents will always have access to their teacher via email, phone or SMS.  We are very pro-technology and are currently considering the use of MSN and Twitter to keep in touch with students and parents.

  • Study Centre runs throughout the school holiday periods.  We recommend that your child continues tuition throughout the year, however fully understand if you choose not to and will not charge you if you decide to take "holidays" from Study Centre.
